Join this seminar for an in-depth review of the extensive salvage and sophisticated composites repair of the hull of a new 74’ sportfishing yacht. The subject yacht was being delivered to its new owner in Trinidad, ran aground and was extensively damaged. Worton Creek Marina of Chestertown, Maryland, undertook to do a full restoration of the yacht to its original “as built” condition.
This seminar is a slideshow of procedures and techniques along with a review of specific materials and high-quality composite laminating methods. The presenters will discuss special shop processes necessary to preserve and restore the vessel’s geometry and structure.
Presenters are John Patnovic, owner of Worton Creek Marina, the firm undertaking this ambitious repair, and Rob Schofield, naval architect, composites engineer, and consultant to Worton Creek.
